The Exhibition Season - The Summary - W18

As Sagetech Machinery dissembles their exhibition stand for the final time of this Exhibition season, the team are starting 2019 as owners of a new Trophy for Best Product for Personalisation. With this fantastic Award coming as a result of Trophex 2019, the team is reflecting on new partnerships made, new customers met and planning for the next batch of exhibitions in 2020. Over the coming weeks you will see new blogs on each exhibition starting with Part 1 W18 Elements for Furniture and Joinery Suppliers.

Starting with W18 in October at the Birmingham NEC,  Sagetech Machinery, met many new exhibitors with whom they have built working relationships. Having attended W Exhibition events in the past, W18 was the busiest year with the highest footfall to date.

Out of all of the exhibitions that Sagetech Machinery have attended this exhibition season, W18 was the most local (only a three hours drive from their offices) and also the most popular with regard to their Vertical Panel Saws.

Alongside meeting exhibitors, the team were exceptionally busy on the stand, meeting new customers who were not only excited to view the newly launched Desktop Engraver but also to see one of the famous KF Vertical Panel Saws upfront and in the flesh.  Commercial Director Sophie Williams was present on the stand and explains “it has been lovely to be able to meet so many other exhibitors in this field that we would not have come across in ordinary circumstances and to see some of the outstanding work and technology they had on display. Our team never stopped for the whole four days which in return meant our last quarter has been exceptionally busy with increased orders and additional machines needing to be put into production. W18 totally surpassed our expectations which is down to the fantastic efforts of the team behind the event and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for W20”.

With over 10,000 visitors attending to witness new and improved tools, technologies and software from the furniture and joinery industry, it is always interesting to see what is new in the market. Alongside, the exhibitors, W18 joined forces with Help4Heroes who had their own presence selling various items, including these gorgeous pens which have received many compliments after being purchased by Sophie at the show. Raising money for service personnel who need help and support, they are utilizing woodworking skills to create stunning products that they can sell on. Take a look at Phoenix House Recovery Centre in Catterick Garrison for more details on their amazing work.

Sagetech Machinery believe W18 to have been such a success for them, that they have already booked up for W20 next year. As the launch of their Desktop Engraver created so much hype at W18 we wonder what surprises they will have on their stand next year.
